As we sit in our one bedroom apartment and think about how we got here, there is a quote that perfectly encases our feelings toward one another and how our story began. E.V. Rogina, a poet, said "I wasn't ready for you, but there you were, and there I was. Now, here we are. And somewhere in between you became my favorite coincidence."

Our meeting was an inevitable coincidence. In the summer before Laura's senior year of college, she was looking for an apartment. She found one with three other girls. Two of her soon to be roommates happened to be employees at Four Seasons Health Club. When the opportunity arose to apply at Four Seasons and work with her roommates she couldn't turn it down. Laura went in for her interview in September of 2021 and the first person she interacted with was, inevitably, Corey. He was working at the front desk as a Member Experience Specialist and escorted her toward HR. At this time, Corey was working at Four Seasons but he was also wrestling on the weekends. Laura was working two other jobs as a nanny, and a waitress all the while going to school to receive her degree in Elementary Education. They were at two completely different places in life, but when they made eye contact on that day in September it was sure to change the course of each of their lives thereafter.

Shortly after starting her new job, Laura was conveniently switching schedules with co-workers so she could work with Corey. She would also begin early morning workouts in hopes of peaking his interest. Within Corey's career at Four Seasons, he had a best friend and colleague named Kodie. She became a fast friend of Laura as well. Eventually, the group, Laura and her roommates and Corey and his friends were getting together often. With a little help of their matchmaking friends, it wasn't long until they were pursuing one another. Laura would spend late nights with Corey and his cat Bebe at their apartment in Bloomington. As they grew to learn more and more about one another, Laura fell in love with Corey's creative mind, kind soul, and friendly nature. Corey fell in love with Laura's loud personality, loving heart, and fun-loving attitude.

In May of 2022, they got another kitty, Kiki. Kodie comes into the story here as well, because in 2018 Corey got his cat Bebe from Kodies parents' farm. Kiki and Bebe share the same mom from that same farm. For now, Kiki makes their little family complete. Corey and Laura spend a lot of time working out at Four Seasons, traveling to wrestling shows, seeing friends and family, and spending time with their cats. They cannot wait to continue their story and write new chapters with some of their favorite people.
